My teaching philosophy expresses my belief that learning to play an instrument is a valuable enhancement to anyone's life. Through music, the enrichment of one's quality of life and self are many. It is my job to teach the language of music as a discipline that kindles the mind, develops coordination, and evokes imagination, curiosity, and expressivity. I consider it my duty to teach each student in a way that best provides for their needs yet sets an enjoyable challenge before them. Musicians at any level have the ability to progress, regardless of their background or natural talent. This progress, however, rarely shows without the demonstration of a serious commitment to practice. Accepting students of ALL ages and abilities, I am an accomplished musician who would like nothing more than to help cultivate your love of music!
